My research investigates methods to foster active lifestyles and healthy communities worldwide through the application of geospatial technologies and statistical modeling. The aim is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the contextual and compositional factors that influence accessibility, mobility, and social equity, with a particular focus on the moderating role of urban design and public health. My methodology utilizes geographic information science (GISc), urban data science, spatial statistics, agent-based modeling (ABM), spatiotemporal modeling, and other geovisualization techniques. This interdisciplinary approach provides globally relevant insights into creating built environments that enable increased physical activity and enhanced wellbeing. My goal is for the research to inform evidence-based planning and policy decisions that support walkable, sustainable, and equitable cities across the world.
